FIJI ADVENTURES ARE COMING FOR NGARNZ HQ
NGARNZ HQ will commence Operations from FIJI from the 30th August through to the September 10th. Over this time we will be able to answer incoming emails once per day. Normal trasmissions will resume once we are back into Aotearoa. We expect to touch down on the 10th September - FIJI Adventures await.
Northland Forests Adventure Bike Tour commences FOUR days afterwards.....
Many of our long standing Adventure Riders here in New Zealand will well know Tim and Jess. Both Tim and Jess have accompanied Jim and I on very many Gravel and Off The Road Adventures. Tim the proud owner of his BIG F800GS which mostly lies Parked Up inside of NGARNZ homebase.
Both Tim and Jess have been a couple for going on 7 years and we feel it is high time this couple made it to THE ALTER!!!! Bring on FIJI and some Adventures of the warmer kind. ps we will forward some Adventure photos from our sunny paradiso.

Our Adventure Tour will commence Whangarei based and will conclude Maungaturoto. If needing to overnight on the Friday evening prior to our Tour, your accommodation could be Whangarei Top 10 Holiday Park. Sharon and The Team will provide secure storage for vehicles/trailers from your Friday Evening stay through to your Sunday pick up. www.whangareitop10.co.nzThis Tour takes in many privately owned areas NOT accessible by the public.
Your Ride Package to attend this Tour will include twin share accommodation on the Saturday evening along with Saturday evening dinner and also Sunday morning Breakfast. Fine weather welcomingly greeted us for our early morning meet up Kumeu base. The arrival of so many NEW Gravel and Adventure Riders was welcoming to see.
Mikie sporting our NEWLY produced Lead Rider vests soon had the group BRIEFED and off into the back country hills we embarked.
Exiting the busy Highway meeting point and attempting to bypass the many road work stations that invariably seemed to drag us back, it was not long before we had reached our metal back country roads. Mikie leads our Group 1 over a longer route and Sue leads our NEWER group for those wishing to partake of a shorter route and with more scenic vantage points factored in.
Meanwhile, high up on the summit overlooking the Puhoi and surrounding country areas, our Mid Rangers had just treated themselves to their very first scenic lookout stop. OUR silence in the valley was shattered by the distant rumble of
E N G I N E S...... OH NO.... we had been SNAPPED and (incoming) our Group 1 also decided to join us for a scenic lookout stop here also. What are the odds???

This Adventure will be that something a little different and something we will now look to incorporate also
As our membership base is increasing so we will now diversify to provide more unique and interesting adventures to cater for those looking for an adventure
We will provide a good mix of back country riding for our Big Bike Attendees along with our Adventure Events
We will provide regular training for both gravel road riders along with those looking to seek out and explore taking their Adventure Bikes on Off Road Terrain Sections

RIDE THE TRANS AMERICAN TRAIL Overseas Adventure Ride planned for July/August 2014 riding the 8,000+ km
* Ride would start on the East coast from the state of Tennessee and
finish in Oregon state, on the West coast of the USA then dropping
down to Los Angeles, California
* This ride is totally offroad and will take in the US back country
including many alpine passes. Each day drop back off the trail into a
local town for motel room accommodation or camp?* Navigate the route by route sheet and GPS

* Option 1) At present the idea is to purchase new bikes at the start of the ride and either sell at the completion of the ride or ship back home. Possible bike choice New Honda XR650L’s at NZ $8,100 approx. + ORC or similar.
You would need to add NZ $1200 approx. worth of accessories, improvements to each bike ( Preferred option
* Option 2) Ship our own bikes from NZ and return. This option would add an extra 5 - 6 days to the trip as we would have to ride the bikes across the US from West to East (not all bad) before starting the trail. Adding another 3,600 km’s to the trip, incurring more accommodation, shipping both ways and bond (carnet) costs.
